FL2K26 Is Coming: Get Race Ready for Bradenton Motorsports Park!

The countdown is officially on.

FL2K26 returns October 1-4, 2026, bringing some of the fastest street cars in the country to Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida. Whether you're planning to compete, crew for a race team, or spend the weekend watching some seriously fast cars battle it out, FL2K has become one of the events circled on the calendar for racers and performance enthusiasts across the country.

At DragRacingWheels.com, we're already helping racers prepare their builds for the trip to FL2K26.

Race week isn't the time to discover something doesn't fit, doesn't hook, or isn't ready.

September is the time to get your combination together, install what you need, and leave yourself enough time to test it.

FL2K26 Tickets & Racer Tech Cards

If you're planning to race, this is one part you shouldn't leave until you arrive at the track.

FL2K states that racer tech cards are limited and will not be available at the gate. General admission can be purchased in advance or at the gate, while several parking options are also available.

Ticket options include:

  • Single-day general admission
  • Weekend passes
  • Friday-through-Sunday admission
  • Thursday-through-Sunday full-event passes
  • Racer tech cards
  • Pit parking
  • Limited RV parking

If FL2K26 is on your calendar, we'd recommend handling admission and racer registration directly through the event rather than waiting until race week.

What Classes Are Racing at FL2K26?

One of the reasons FL2K attracts such a diverse crowd is the variety of combinations competing throughout the event.

The current FL2K26 event information includes classes such as:

  • Street Car Shootout
  • XFWD
  • Extreme Drag Radial
  • Stick Shift
  • NT Shootout
  • AWD vs DCT
  • X58 Shootout
  • 8.50 Index
  • 10.00 Index

That means everything from front-wheel-drive builds and manual-transmission cars to radial combinations, AWD/DCT cars and index racers can have something to watch or something to race.

Racers should always check the official rules for their individual class before making changes specifically for the event.

Racing FL2K26? Start Preparing Now.

October sounds far away until you're waiting on wheels, mounting tires, checking brake clearance, changing suspension settings and trying to squeeze in a test session before loading the trailer.

If you're planning to race at FL2K26, don't make race week your build week.

Here are some of the areas we'd be checking now.

1. Put The Power Down: Drag Wheels & Beadlocks

Horsepower doesn't accomplish much if you can't effectively put it to the track.

The right drag wheel setup can reduce rotating mass, provide the wheel width your tire combination needs and allow you to build a package around your vehicle and racing goals.

DragRacingWheels.com carries drag racing wheels and beadlocks from manufacturers including:

Depending on the application, that can include:

  • 15-inch drag conversions
  • 17-inch drag setups
  • Single and double beadlocks
  • Non-beadlock drag wheels
  • Front runners
  • Lightweight rear wheels
  • Direct-fit modern muscle applications

Not sure what diameter, width, offset or backspacing you need?

Contact our fitment specialists before ordering. We'd rather help you build the correct combination now than have you discover a clearance or fitment problem while preparing for Bradenton.

2. Make It Hook: Check Your Drag Tires

Take a close look at the tires currently on your car.

  • How old are they?
  • How many passes are on them?
  • How much tread remains?
  • Have they been through repeated heat cycles?
  • Are they still giving you the traction your combination needs?

We carry race and performance tires from brands including:

If you're changing wheel sizes or moving to a different drag setup for FL2K26, talk to us about putting together a complete wheel and tire package so the entire combination is considered together.

3. Get The Chassis Dialed

More power isn't always the answer.

If the car isn't transferring weight properly, isn't consistent on launch, or is fighting you down track, September gives you time to make changes and test them before the event.

Depending on your platform and combination, that could mean looking at:

  • Shocks and struts
  • Springs
  • Control arms
  • Cradle components
  • Bushings
  • Alignment
  • Driveshaft components
  • Rear-end gearing

DragRacingWheels.com carries performance components from brands including BMR Suspension, QA1, Eibach, H&R, Ridetech, Driveshaft Shop, Motive Gear and more.

The important part isn't just installing parts. Give yourself time to test the combination afterward.

4. Don't Forget Fuel Delivery

Big horsepower demands a fuel system capable of supporting it consistently.

Before a major race weekend, inspect the components that keep your combination fed, including:

  • Fuel injectors
  • Fuel pumps
  • Fuel lines
  • Fittings
  • Fuel filters
  • Fuel rails
  • Supporting fuel-system hardware

We offer components from Injector Dynamics, Aeromotive, Fuelab, DeatschWerks, Nitrous Express and other performance manufacturers.

If something has been marginal all season, the week before FL2K isn't when you want it becoming a problem.

5. Safety Equipment Isn't Optional

This one deserves special attention for FL2K26.

The event states that all vehicles racing at FL2K must have an engine diaper or catch pan to pass tech and compete. The requirement is designed to help protect racers and reduce lengthy track cleanup following a failure.

You should also verify that your helmet, restraints and other required safety equipment meet the rules applicable to your car and class.

We carry race and safety equipment from manufacturers including:

  • Bell
  • Simpson
  • Stilo
  • RaceQuip
  • Impact Racing

Always verify your specific FL2K26 class rules before purchasing equipment solely for tech compliance.

6. Think Beyond The Car

It's easy to spend weeks thinking about the car and forget about everything you need once you get to the track.

Go through your race-day equipment ahead of time:

  • Race Ramps
  • Tire pressure equipment
  • Torque wrench
  • Jack and jack stands
  • Battery charger
  • Racing Fluids
  • Spare parts
  • Safety equipment
  • Tie-down equipment
  • Basic hand tools

Something as simple as missing equipment can turn a great weekend into a headache.

Don't Wait Until The Week Before FL2K26

This might be our biggest recommendation.

If you need a specific wheel fitment, drag tire size, wheel-and-tire package or specialty performance component, start looking now.

Inventory can change. Some configurations require additional lead time. Tires need to be mounted. Parts need to be installed. And a race car should ideally be tested after meaningful changes, not driven straight from the garage onto the trailer.

Our team can help you determine what fits your vehicle and put together a combination based on how you're actually using the car.
